A BROADER SWEEP, A FASTER FINISH

SMARTSTOW® allows the mower to be stored upright, reducing the storage footprint by up to 70% when compared to a Toro 22" Walk Power Mower. It also provides easier access for you to clean the under-deck and service the blade. This mower is powered by a 7.25 ft-lb gross torque, 163 cc Briggs & Stratton^® 725 EXi series engine and features our exclusive Personal Pace^® self-propel system, which allows you to mow at speeds that are infinitely adjustable to your walking pace up to 7.7 km/h. The 3-in-1 mowing system - bagging, mulching and side discharge capabilities giving you the flexible performance in all mowing conditions.

The 11" high rear wheels combined with the variable speed self propel front wheel drive can tackle uneven terrain with ease.

Washout Port

The deck washout port is a convenient way to clean the bottom of the deck - maintaining optimum airflow for high performance.

Engine

Briggs & Stratton 725 EXi Series, 7.25 ft-lbs, 163 cc engine with Guaranteed to Start system. Engine is a four cycle, air cooled, vertical crankshaft, overhead valve, oil dipstick and fill tube, mechanical compression release, above deck muffler, mechanical governor, and a single element air cleaner. It has an aluminum cylinder. Engine is fitted with a top mounted recoil starter.

Housing

Stamped steel, spiral grass chamber with rear bagging, side discharge and recycling (mulching) capability. Includes front throw baffle and side and rear discharge openings with spring loaded doors.

Height of Cut

Each wheel individually adjustable by leaf spring type hand levers, from 2.5 cm to 10.2 cm, nine positions, in approximately 0.85 cm increments.

Blade

55.4 cm long heat treated alloy steel. Blade attached to crankshaft with a keyed retainer, blade stiffener and special bolt with lock washer. Tip speed is 17,082 fmp. @ 3,000 nominal engine rpm.

Controls

Throttle Control: None, engine speed fixed at 3,000 +/- 100 rpm.

Flywheel Brake Bail: With bail against the upper handle, engine can be started and run. With the bail released, the engine will stop.

Self Propel Bail: The telescopic control handle converts sliding motion to rotary motion, engaging the transmission cable. Infinitely variable ground speed is determined by the relative position of the telescopic control handle, which is controlled by the operator’s walking speed.

Wheels

Rear Wheels: 27.9 x 5.1 cm, white coloured wheel hub with Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) black treaded tyre. Each wheel has two bushings.

Front Wheels: 20.3 x 5.1 cm, white coloured wheel hub with Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) black treaded tyre.

Gearbox

Single speed sealed maintenance free gearbox, with a final drive ratio of 6.0:1. Enclosed over-running ratchet clutches that provide positive forward drive and a differential action. Adjustable traction cable pivots the gear case to tighten or loosen drive belts for clutching function.
