ADVENTURE EVERYWHERE

The KTM 890 ADVENTURE takes the lightweight and sporty characteristics you'd expect from a KTM ADVENTURE motorcycle to deliver a supremely capable adventure tourer - both on and off the tarmac. Now with more engine grunt, improved handling, added suspension adjustability and rider-focussed technology, the KTM 890 ADVENTURE is the ultimate road and gravel traveller.

ENGINE & EXHAUST

The most notable upgrade over its predecessor is the engine. Pumping out impressive power, the engine in the KTM 890 ADVENTURE range boasts a spate of upgrades - most notably, a significant jump in power and torque. Improvements to electronics and pre-muffler also ensure it meets the strictest emissions regulations. This, paired with a 15,000km service intervals and low fuel consumption, makes it ready to hit the long road.

CHASSIS

The overall geometry of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R was developed for light handling, and comfort on long distance exploration missions - with unchallenged offroad capability. Strength was a big consideration in the design, so a tubular Chromoly steel frame is used with the engine acting as a stressed member to reduce weight and overall size.

ERGONOMICS & COMFORT

The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R has several adjustable features to enhance rider comfort, including a higher or lower seat option, and six handlebar mount positions. A low-slung fuel tank, which lowers the centre of gravity, improves handling, and allows the rider to move around more freely. Its long-distance race ergonomics are designed for extreme riding, and the easy-to-access air filter makes it simple to change on the trail.

SOFTWARE & ELECTRONICS

When you find yourself in a tricky situation, ABS, MTC and ride modes are there to assist in a variety of conditions. MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) is KTM’s lean angle sensitive traction control system that reacts immediately if the rotational speed of the rear wheel is disproportionate to the riding situation. Rally mode (optional extra) allows a more direct control over the various functions, allowing the rider to determine the character of the bike more freely. The rider can more precisely fine-tune the slip adjust to match the condition of the surface, the skill level of the rider and the requirements of the ride.

Cooling

Advanced Cooling

During extreme offroad exploration, it’s important the engine keeps its cool to ensure its advanced power and performance are maintained. Thanks to the KTM 890 ADVENTURE’s design and advanced cooling technology, riding for hours in hot conditions is possible.

Exhaust

Stainless Steel Exhaust

A redesigned stainless-steel exhaust system utilizes a mid-exhaust sound damper to centralize mass, which allows for a relatively small muffler, thereby maximizing the exhaust system’s ground clearance. The sound – ready for extreme adventure!

Sprung for Serious Adventure

When setting off for an adventure ride, there are so many variables with bike setup that can influence the bike’s performance: rider weight, extra luggage, fuel – it all has to be taken into account before heading offroad. The KTM 890 ADVENTURE has the additional benefit of adjustable rear pre-load and rebound damping and can be further refined to suit most typical riding scenarios, conditions and situations.

Fuel Tank

Fueled to Travel Far

This groundbreaking new bike's fuel tank concept is central to its design innovation. With the main tank volume placed as low as possible and slung down the sides of the bike, it provides many benefits. Whether seated or standing, the tank between your legs feels considerably narrower and more compact than one would expect from the generous 20 litre volume. The low-slung fuel volume means that the bike's handling is effortless with the bulk of the weight set low and forward, eliminating the fuel swishing and swaying typical of traditionally-positioned tanks. This results in to a low centre of gravity which enhances agility and allows more playful and instant change of direction. As the bike is narrow in the knee area when standing up, it adds a lot of control when riding off-road. The freed-up traditional tank area allows a straighter and lower seat, giving the rider more freedom to move with improved accessibility. The tank is made of highly durable materials and is therefore highly crash resistant, as proven by the similar tank concept successfully used in the extreme race conditions of the Dakar Rally by the KTM Factory Racing team. It's the best of both worlds: the slim feel of a smaller offroad bike with the exceptional fuel range of approximately 450 km on the open road.
